Right Cross Coming in March
Right Cross is set for release on March 24
This is the first of at least three books I will be releasing this year into next
Here's the blurb:
Ray Peterson lives by one rule: Don’t stand out. His father has a past, a past that dictates Ray’s future. And by now, as a senior in high school, Ray knows the drill all too well. Go to school, come home, train, work. Do not draw attention.Finishing senior year and getting out of town is the plan. But when trouble comes crashing into his school bus, Ray is only reacting when he chases down a couple of car jackers and gets himself stabbed in the back. The cops deem him a local hero. The press comes calling. The victim, Tabitha Penn, happens to be the D.A.’s daughter. And she has a smile that has Ray rethinking the whole keep-your-head-down thing.
Being a hero doesn’t come easy, and Ray’s fighting with his father about living a normal life when they arrive home from the hospital to find the house has been ransacked. His father springs into action, and with shady guys tailing them, Ray finds his father is more comfortable on the run than he ever was at home. But when he turns himself over to keep his son safe, Ray decides maybe he isn’t quite ready for that normal life after all.
Ray hatches a plan that might just get both of them killed. And as he embarks on a perilous journey to free his family once and for all, Ray discovers he's more like his father than he thought.
It wasn't much of a change of gears for me as I thought, writing thrillers. After all, Hometown, and Swatting at Butterflies had some elements, and as I finished Cross, then the sequel, I knew I couldn't leave it hanging.
So, Right Cross in March. Left Turn coming in the fall, and hopefully, the yet-to-be-named third installment, the one I'm writing now, should be due out in 2027.
Preorder Right Cross.
